On September 16, 2008, Energy East now known as Iberdrola USA,  became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iberdrola, S.A., therefore, Energy East’s common stock is no longer publicly traded.  Prior to becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary, Energy East’s common stock was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and traded under the symbol EAS.
